2019 Impact Report

Welcome to POST’s 2019 Impact Report

Scroll down for stories of all you made possible in the past fiscal year.

You are part of a community that is invested in the environmental health of our region, and we accomplished so much together between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019. Across all of our program areas, with the support of our donors, POST continues to do for our land what it cannot do for itself – safeguard a future that brings the benefits of healthy open spaces to all who live here.

Thank You to Our Donors

Protecting and restoring more than 77,500 acres of land would not have been possible without the support of our generous donors. Your contributions are vital to the ongoing health and beauty of our region, with its towering redwoods, fertile farmland, sweeping vistas and wild residents. Thank you.

Our 2019 Accomplishments

Dedicated to safeguarding wildlife, farmland and redwoods while providing opportunities for people to enjoy our natural spaces, POST protected 1,794 acres last year and is making a lasting, positive impact in our region. Flip through our printed 2019 Impact Report to read President Walter Moore’s reflections from the year, view major organizational milestones and get an inside look at the anatomy of a POST project, as illustrated with San Gregorio Farm.

PROTECTING LAND IS ONLY THE FIRST STEP

Conservation means not only protecting the land, but keeping it in good condition, too. POST’s stewardship team uses both traditional and innovative techniques for evaluating, prioritizing and caring for open space on each POST-owned property. Additionally, we make sure that working land is positioned for success, and we do our part to help wildlife thrive in our region.
