Join POST and Santa Clara County Parks in welcoming master falconer and educator Antonio Balestreri to the Rancho San Vicente addition of Calero County Park! Guests will experience several species of our native raptors including an American Kestrel, Peregrine Falcon, Great Horned Owl, and a Ferruginous Hawk to name a few. This educational presentation will focus on the roles raptors play in our environment, raptor biology and conservation. Join us for this unique opportunity to see these rescued and captive-bred raptors up close.

Come enjoy sweeping panoramic views of the ocean on this easy, family friendly 3-mile hike! Explore the Jean-Lauer trail and hear about the history of this beautiful trail and the role that POST played in protecting this bluff.

Event Details
On this 5-mile excursion, you'll hike from the Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve to the top of the POST-protected Mindego Hill. We'll rest at the top and try to catch the beginning of the sunset before we head back down.
