Event Details
In this webinar Richard Tejeda, Founder of Saved By Nature, will provide an overview of the native fish we have in our local watersheds on the SF Peninsula and in the South Bay, including local salmon and trout species. An avid angler, fish conservationist and environmental educator, Richard will share the characteristics and ecology of our most common native fish species. We'll discuss where these fish live, where they used to live, and some stories of the restoration work that is underway to restore their habitat.

Dr. Michael E. Mann is Distinguished Professor of Atmospheric Science at Penn State, with joint appointments in the Department of Geosciences and the director of the Penn State Earth System Science Center (ESSC). He is the author of more than 200 peer-reviewed and edited publications, numerous op-eds and commentaries, and five books. Dr. Mann will be joining us to speak on the path forward on climate change as part of POST's annual Wallace Stegner Lectures.

José Andrés is a Michelin-starred, James Beard Award-winning Spanish-American chef. He is the author of three cookbooks and the New York Times best-selling book We Fed an Island, which describes how Andrés and his team cooked for hundreds of thousands of hungry Americans in Puerto Rico after the devastation of Hurricane Maria. Andrés advocates for sustainability in the restaurant industry and his line of restaurants includes many that are focused on serving sustainably grown and harvested foods. He will joined in conversation by local chef and restaurateur Jesse Cool as part of POST's annual Wallace Stegner Lectures
