Looking for the perfect hike? We’ve got you covered! The most frequent questions we get from our community are where to hike, where to hike with dogs and where to bike through POST-protected properties. To answer these burning questions, we produced a digital Bay Area hikes book of our 15 favorite Update: Our 2016 edition now has a total of 30 hikes for you to enjoy. We categorized the hikes by difficulty: strolls are the easiest, hikes are typically 3 miles or more, and treks which are upwards of 8 miles.

In the guide you will notice icons that tell you what activities are allowed on each trail. For those who like to run or hike with dogs, watch for the dog icon; if you are a cyclist, you can find plenty of bike icons too.

There’s something for everyone here, from a 1.4-mile flat walk along the coast to a 13-mile excursion in Sierra Azul Open Space Preserve. So lace up your boots and head outside! Click here to get your digital or print version now.
