Join POST on a guided walk to commemorate our 40th anniversary at the iconic summit of Windy Hill – one of the first open spaces we ever protected!

We will start our program with light refreshments and a brief informative talk by Dr. Nicole Heller about the biodiversity and ecological contributions of Windy Hill to our region. After her comments, there will be two optional walks: Explore the 1-mile Anniversary Trail OR hike along a 4.2-mile section of the Bay Area Ridge Trail. Please pick the level of hike that works best for you.
We encourage you to sign up now as space is limited and we expect this event to fill up quickly. Parking is also limited – we will have courtesy shuttles from the Portola Valley Town Center starting at 9:30 A.M. and returning beginning at noon.

About Windy Hill

Windy Hill was the first land protection project POST ever completed. Today, it’s an ideal spot for flying kites, walking dogs, mountain biking and horseback riding. The grassy ridge top of this popular 1,312-acre open space preserve is clearly visible from many spots along the Peninsula and is an ideal property to highlight POST’s work to expand the extensive recreational trail networks in our region.
