This beautiful ride will pass through a wide variety of landscapes that make up the 6,391-acre “Cloverdale Coastal Ranches” property, which is protected and available for lease to farmers and ranchers through the efforts of POST.

The Ride will take you past redwood forests, rolling grasslands, coastal bluffs, and working row crop fields and rangelands. The 17-mile route is completely paved and consists mostly of gentle rolling hills. There will be a 5-mile stretch along Highway 1, followed by a modest 250-foot elevation gain over 1.5 miles as we head inland.

This cycling route works well for road bikes, hybrids, or even mountain bikes, as we will be on pavement and riding at a relaxed pace. The loop is appropriate for cyclists of all levels, so feel free to invite your biking buddies! However, “cruisers” and other bicycles that are intended for shorter rides on flat terrain, as well as bikes that are not in good working order, are not recommended.

Our tour departs at 10am and will take 2 to 2.5 hours. Over the course of the tour, we will make a few stops to learn about the history of the land, take in the views of the Pacific.

Please note there are two dates for this event, Saturday, June 23th and Sunday, June 24th. Please make sure your ticket(s) has the correct date.

In addition to your bike and helmet, please bring water, sunscreen, and snacks.

After you RSVP, we’ll send you our exact meeting place. We hope to see you there!

Please contact Mark Medeiros at [email protected] with any questions.
