Join POST in our third Family Day + Campout at Little Basin!

Experience the beauty of Boulder Creek! Come for a one-day nature extravaganza and enjoy organized nature activities, guided hikes and walks, and an astronomy program. After a full afternoon of romping outdoors, settle down for some beers and bevvies and gourmet pizza (all included in your ticket price of $10 for adults and $5 for kids!). Prior to the astronomy program, you can take some time to settle by the campfire and enjoy some hot chocolate.

Want to camp overnight with friends and family? Please do! Purchase campsites or cabins below. Campsites will be assigned by POST—we will do our best to accommodate each group’s needs. Please note that dogs and RVs are not allowed at this event (service dogs OK).

For campers, ticket costs cover the campsite and participation in all activities. Day use tickets cover the cost of participating in Saturday’s activities as well as a beverage and snacks. This is not a POST fundraiser—all proceeds are going to cover the basic costs of hosting this wonderful community event.

In 2007, Hewlett-Packard transferred ownership of Little Basin to the Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) and Sempervirens Fund for permanent resource protection and public recreation. These two organizations maintained the land until Little Basin was added to Big Basin State Park, part of the California State Parks system, and is now open for the public to enjoy.

Peninsula Open Space Trust protects open space on the Peninsula and in the South Bay for the benefit of all. Since 1977, POST has protected over 76,500 acres of land in San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz Counties.
