To round out our year of 40th anniversary events, POST is holding a 5K/10K fun run at Calero County Park! Join us in celebrating POST’s work to protect land in the Sierra Azul region of the Santa Cruz Mountains, from Sierra Azul Open Space Preserve near Los Gatos to lands near Mount Madonna.
The run is right before Halloween, so runners should dress accordingly. While this is a fun run, we will award small prizes to the three fastest runners by gender, with a special prize for the best costume!
Registration includes run timing, rest stops en-route and a post-run taco lunch.
POST would like to acknowledge and thank Whole Foods Market, our generous sponsor for this event. Whole Foods is dedicated to giving back to the local community and is passionate about supporting local causes.
Just south of San Jose on the west side of Santa Clara Valley sits Calero County Park, one of the region’s most beautiful oak woodlands.
POST was responsible for protecting two large properties that border Calero County Park: Rancho Cañada del Oro and Rancho San Vicente. These acquisitions have greatly expanded a large area of contiguously protected open space in the South Bay that provides habitat and connectivity for local wildlife.
