About Our Events

Join one of POST’s community events! We have group hikes, webinars, volunteer opportunities, family fun and more to meet everyone’s needs. You’ll learn something new and meet other people in the area who share your love of the outdoors. Most of our events are open to everyone, and we also curate a range of activities for specific identity and affinity groups who may have faced barriers to accessing nature in the past. We hope you’ll join us in building a welcoming local culture around nature and conservation. We also have online events listed below, or you can view recordings of our past webinars on POST’s YouTube channel.

Our Community Events Series Sponsors

Bill and Jean Lane Endowment

The late Ambassador Laurence W. “Bill” Lane, Jr. and his wife Jean sponsored POST’s Wallace Stegner Lectures from their inception in 1993. Jean passed away in 2017, but had established the Bill and Jean Lane Endowment to provide for their annual lead sponsorship of this beloved series. We applaud Jean and Bill, whose unwavering support has enabled us to evolve our former lecture series into a diverse, program of quality monthly events, offering a variety of ways for community members to learn and engage throughout the year
