Update: Sorry, this event is sold out.

Join us for a beautiful, 6-mile walk along the Cowell-Purisima Trail which Peninsula Open Space Trust helped create by protecting adjacent farmland. After walking most of the 3.6-mile, bluff-top trail, we’ll turn around and catch the sunset on the way back.

This will be a great opportunity to learn about POST’s work to protect San Mateo County farms while also creating recreational opportunities along one of the most scenic stretches of our state’s coastline! We hope to see you there.

Please RSVP as space is limited. We will share the meet-up location and directions closer to the event.

This event is part of POST’s community event series. These events are open to the general public as well as POST donors, and we hope you will join us! We also curate a separate series of private events for our donor community. Learn more about how you can support POST here: openspacetrust.org/support

About the Cowell-Purisima Trail

POST partnered with the California State Coastal Conservancy, landowners, farmers and others to build this trail. The Cowell Ranch, once owned by the Cowell Family, was put on the market in 1985 to raise funds for the Cowell Family Foundation. Developers were eager to acquire it – as was POST. POST completed the purchase in 1988. Today, the trail and spectacular beaches here are part of the California State Parks system.
