We get it, it’s hard to know where you can take your dog in our corner of the Bay Area – it’s why we made our Dog-friendly Hikes Guide. But maybe you’re not feeling like a hike today. No worries, it’s always a good day to take the dog to the beach.

A rocky stretch of rugged coastline at the southern end of Bean Hollow State Beach, where you and your dog can escape to find some coastal solitude.

Bean Hollow State Beach, Pescadero
This state beach encompasses the stretch of coastline beginning with Pebble Beach at the north and connected by hiking trail to Arroyo de Los Frijoles Beach to the south. Bean Hollow is a great place to take your dog to explore the sandy shore and teeming tidepools.
